Setting up Metamask for Polygon (Matic Network)
How Can You Participate in IDO on PolyPAD Network?
There are three sections that you have to do:
- Setting up Metamask for Polygon (Matic Network).
- Transferring your assets from the Ethereum Mainchain to the Polygon (Matic) Mainnet.
- Participate IDO on PolyPAD Network.
This is Section 1: Step-by-step guideline for Metamask wallet setup.
Step 1: Install Metamask
You can install Metamask for Chrome, Firefox, Opera browsers…
Visit https://metamask.io/ or the browser extension marketplace and download the MetaMask extension.
Creating a new Metamask wallet if you haven’t done.
Security tips: Write seed phrase on a piece of paper and store them in a secure place. It is important to back up and restore your wallet.
Step 2: Set Up Polygon (Matic) Mainnet for MetaMask
Click on “Settings” -> Click on “Networks” -> Click on “Add Network” -> Enter in the Matic Mainnet settings as follows:
- Name: Matic Network
- New RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com/
- Chain ID: 137
- Currency Symbol: MATIC
- Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/
-> Click “Save”
Your Matemask Wallet is now connected to the Polygon (Matic) mainnet!
